What Is Counselling

Counselling  is a process that  facilitate a safe and secure environment, whereby an individual can explore painful feelings, emotions and find alternative ways of addressing them.

This is carried out in a safe, none judgmental and confidential environment.

It is about discovering who you truly are as an individual, about learning to explore, face and deal with traumatic and difficult experiences.

This can take the individual through to a place where they are better equipped to make the changes they need to better manage and improve their quality of lives. It essentially aims to assist the individual to work towards a more satisfying and constructive life by facilitating a process whereby he/she can take control, make decisions in their own lives. This process enhances growth, trust in the self, greater freedom for an effective future.

Counselling also involves exploring how past traumatic experiences can and do affect how people live and conduct their lives.

Clients are respected for who they are, whatever their beliefs, life style, religion, ethnicity or sexual orientation.
